Commercial Space for Rent at Souris Beach Gateway Park



The Town of Souris is inviting proposals to lease one of the buildings at the Souris Beach Gateway Park for this upcoming summer season. The seasonal period is typically June 1st – October 31st.

The building size is 12’x14’ and is accessible by way of public boardwalk, it includes electricity only, there is no water or sewer in this building, therefore, it would not be suitable for food service (public washrooms are available within the park).  The building available is the one to the west of the SeaGlass Shanty. Current seasonal rate for this building is $2,900 +HST.  Lessee would also be responsible for their own internet/phone if needed.

Consideration will be given to such businesses or organizations that do NOT compete directly with existing vendors. Existing vendors currently include SeaGlass Shanty, Lobster/Seafood Shack, Poke Shack, Ice Cream Shoppe, Paddle Board, kayak & bike Rentals, and Eastern Express Food Truck.

Proposals should be delivered to: Shelley LaVie, Town of Souris, PO Box 628, 75 Main Street, Souris, PEI, C0A 2B0; or by email to [email protected]  prior to April 30, 2022 at 3pm.   It should include Name of business, type of business, products/service to be sold (pictures if available), hours of operation (park is open 7 days per week), # of jobs created, plus any other info which may be helpful in determining suitability.

These buildings are leased on a one (1) season term basis with the option to renew for following season.

The Town of Souris reserves the right to decline or reject any or all proposals received if deemed to be in the best interest of the Town and Souris Beach Gateway Park.
