Come enjoy the FREE Town of Souris Canada Day Celebrations! Starting at 12:30pm the Master of Ceremonies, Kyle Kickham(Kickham Properties) and Harlee Grenier (C.A.F.E) will be conducting our traditional Canada Day celebrations this year and Pam Grant will be singing O’ Canada.
Guest speakers Mayor Joanne Dunphy and MLA Robin Croucher will be sharing their opening remarks. There will be a RCMP officer standing guard for the raising of our nations flag.
Town of Souris staff will be dishing out delicious chocolate or vanilla Canada Day cupcakes made from the Seaside Bakery. The Souris Lion’s Club will be there with their fundraising BBQ (hotdogs, hamburgers and beverages) also the Lions Club will be collecting used eye glasses for the “Lions Club Recycle for Sight” program.
From 1:00pm to 4:00pm children can enjoy using the water inflatable and bouncy castle (Under 6 years of age in the bouncy castle). Please remember to bring a towel! Brudenell Riding Stables will be offering Pony and Horse rides. There will be face painting, tattoos and crafts with Melissa Peter-Paul.
We will have live entertainment with Krista Young, Sharon Winters, Daniel Bushey, and Killin Time. Bring your own chairs.
FIREWORKS with Maritime Fireworks, NB at 10:00 PM @ Souris Beach Gateway Park. The west parking lot at the beach will be closed to traffic at 9:00 PM for safety. Thank you for understanding.
