    The Town of Souris invites all Town residents to attend a Public Meeting to provide input on the 2026–2027 Town Budget.

  • Salvation Army Home Heating Program Assistance
    1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

    Wednesday, February 4th from 1-2:30pm on the 3rd floor of the Souris Town Hall, volunteers will be available to help with the application form to any resident seeking assistance.

    Please bring all necessary documents for application.

    2026 PEI HOME HEATING PROGRAM:

    To receive up to $1,200 in each calendar year eligible applicants are as follows:

    • Residents of Prince Edward Islandfacing hardship inmeeting home heating expenses.

    • Applicants will be expected to produce proof of income, address and fuel expenses.

    • Applicants cannot be in receipt of PEI Social Assistance.

    • Applicants must be Canadian Citizen or have Permanent Resident Status.

    • Applicants must fall within the following Income Criteria:

    o Single Person Household – $45,000 or less

    o Family Household – $60,000 or less

    Where income is defined as gross income (Line 15000 of Notice of Assessment)

    Town Council Regular Monthly meeting to be held Monday, February 9th at 7:00pm

    Held the 2nd Monday of every month at 7:00 PM, Council Chambers, 3rd Floor of Souris Town Hall, 75 Main Street, Souris
    (Please note: Dates and times may change due to holidays or other circumstances.)

    All Town Council meetings are open to the public. The Council Chambers are accessible by elevator, with the most convenient parking located at the rear entrance near the ramp and elevator door.

    To have an item added to the agenda, please submit a written request to the Chief Administrative Officer at least 7 days before the meeting date.

    Closed (in-camera) meetings may be held only for reasons permitted under Section 119 of the Municipal Government Act
