Souris Town Council plans to meet Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 6:30pm to discuss a couple of topics:

• Committee of Council vs Council of Whole. This would change the current set up of Council and Council meetings. It would require a change to the Town’s Procedural Bylaw.
• The Town of Souris is considering the implementation a Donation Policy. A draft and discussion to take place at this meeting.

Town Council meetings are held at Souris Town Hall, 75 Main Street, Souris, PEI (3rd Floor Council Chambers) Accessible door entrance and parking is at the rear of the building and an elevator is available to the 3rd Floor.

Town Council meetings are always open to the public with the exception of reasons listed in the Municipal Government Act Section 119(1).

Saturday, May 2nd @ 1:00pm

Join us for the Souris Beach Annual Cleanup on Saturday, May 2nd at 1pm! Help us keep one of our community’s most beautiful spaces clean and welcoming for everyone. We’ll provide bags, courtesy of the Women’s Institute roadside cleanup, disposable gloves, buckets, plus coffee and donuts to keep you going.

Last year, volunteers removed over 330lbs of waste from our shore.

Souris Beach is known for its calm, shallow waters, making it one of the safest beaches for families in PEI.

The Town of Souris Town Council meets the second Monday of each month. May’s meeting will be held May 11, 2026 at 7:00pm. COPY OF AGENDA (available 48 hrs prior to the meeting)

If you have something you would like considered by Council, or to make a presentation to Council, you must submit a request in writing to the Chief Admin Officer at least 7 days prior to the scheduled meeting.

Beginning Thursday, March 10th from 5-7pm
