Souris Town Council has a regular scheduled meeting the 2nd Monday of every month.
Our Council meetings are held in the Council Chambers at Souris Town Hall, 75 Main Street, Souris at 7:00pm. (Unless otherwise posted due to holiday or other reason)
All of our meetings are open to the public. Our Council Chambers are accessible by elevator and the closest parking to the ramp and elevator door is at the rear of the Town Hall.If you would like something added to the agenda a written request explaining your request must be submitted to the Chief Administrative Officer at least 7 days prior to the meeting date.
Closed meetings can be held, but only for purposes set out in section 119 of the Municipal Government Act.

Brian Borcherdt embarked on an entirely new path in 2012 with the release of his debut Dusted album, Total Dust, on Polyvinyl. The transition between these two projects was described as the comedown to the wild night before. Dusted’s surprise hit, Property Lines, led to further soundtrack work as well as frequent collaborations with the late director Jean-Marc Vallee.
Kim Barlow is an enduring presence in the Canadian indie-folk scene, who launched her acclaimed first album Humminah in Whitehorse in the last century. Recently returned to Nova Scotia, Barlow continues to be a creative and eccentric songwriter, skillful on guitar and clawhammer banjo, with several projects underway at all times. -

What is Spud Fest?
Spud Fest is a shoestring, DIY, backyard music festival, established in the summer of 2020. This summer will mark Spud Fest’s sixth year! It’s nothing fancy, but it has a ton of heart. The festival is built on a celebration of inclusivity and creativity, and aims to bring together community members of all ages and backgrounds to appreciate art and music.
Just as there are many varieties of potato, Spud aims to program a wide range of music genres that’ll keep the mashes boogying all day and night long. Spud Fest is a completely non-profit event, with all proceeds besides those required for operation costs to be donated to charity.
Proceeds from Spud Fest VI will be donated to Harbourview Training Center – a non-profit organization located in Souris, Prince Edward Island, which provides on site employment and job training as well as a broad range of support services to clients with intellectual disabilities.

Description: Step back in time with a traditional picnic celebrating 200 years of the Benevolent Irish Society in PEI. Held on the historic grounds of the former St. Patrick’s Hall, this family-friendly event recreates the beloved Souris Tea Grounds Parties of the 1880s and 1890s. Enjoy live piping, classic picnic fare, lemonade and tea service, and heritage displays. All are welcome, including Richard Wood concert ticket holders and local residents with complimentary tickets from Silver Threads. -
