Join us Friday, February 13th, starting at 8:00pm for  The Love and Friendship Guessing Game at the Souris Legion.
It’s a fun, fast-paced Valentine’s game where one person answers a question and their partner has to guess exactly what they said — sounds easy… until it’s not 
Expect laughs, surprises, and plenty of awkward looks. It’s open to couples, best friends or any duo who know each other well (or thinks they do). We’re looking for 5 duos to play live on stage. Grab your favorite person and register — it’s all about fun, not perfection

Mayor Dunphy has called a Special Town of Souris Budget Planning Meeting for Monday, February 23, 2026 @ 6:30pm. Council will discuss and review each individual department budget for the upcoming April 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027 Fiscal Year.

Departments Include: Projected Revenue and Expenses: Fire Department, Recreation Department, Parks – Community Improvements & Beautification, Souris Beach Gateway Park, Public Property (Town Hall), Emergency Measures Operations, Info Technology, General Administration Department, Tourism, Town Promotion & Events, Police Protection, Economic Development, Streets & Sidewalks, Matthew McLean Bldg., Other Expenditures, Capital Expenditures, and Water & Sewer Utility.

Town Council meetings are open to the public. Meetings are held at Souris Town Hall, 75 Main Street, 3rd Floor Council Chambers.

The Town of Souris Town Council meets the second Monday of each month. March’s meeting will be held March 9, 2026. Please note there will be an early start time for the March meeting at 6:30pm. There will be a DRAFT of the 2026-2027 Town of Souris Budget reviewed at this meeting with final approval proposed at a meeting later in March.

Town Council meetings are held at Souris Town Hall, 75 Main Street, Souris, PEI (3rd Floor Council Chambers) Accessible door entrance and parking is at the rear of the building and an elevator is available to the 3rd Floor.

Town Council meetings are always open to the public with the exception of reasons listed in the Municipal Government Act Section 119(1).

If you have something you would like considered by Council you must submit a request in writing to the Chief Admin Officer at least 7 days prior to the scheduled meeting.

Residents of the Souris Fire District are invited to attend the annual meeting.

Important Agenda Item

One of the topics for discussion will be a proposed change to the current billing method for fire dues.
The proposal would shift from a flat‑rate system to a mill‑rate system, where dues are calculated based on a rate per $100 of assessed property value.

Souris Town Council has scheduled a meeting to review and approve the final version of the Town of Souris 2026 – 2027 General Account Budget and Water & Sewer Utility Budget. This includes projected Revenues, Operating Expenses and Capital Expenses. The meeting will be held Monday, March 23, 2026 at 6:30pm.

Anyone from the public is welcome to attend.
