DEALING WITH FOXES IN URBAN AREAS . . . As beautiful and as fascinating as our Prince Edward Island Red Foxes are, it is important to remember they are wild animals and attempts to tame them should be avoided. Feeding them, especially within Town limits, is not recommended and leaving food or refuse out that would attract them should be avoided.
This recommendation is for the safety of all residents, domestic pets, as well as for the health & safety of the foxes. For them to thrive, they should have a healthy fear of humans and be left to their own devices.
