The 2023 Canada Winter Games will be held in Prince Edward Island February 18, 2023 – March 5, 2023.
Leading up to this event the 2023 Canada Winter Games Torch will be carried throughout the Province. On Friday, January 20, 2023 we will have the great honour of having the torch travel through our Town carried by 13 different nominated torch bearers. The relay will begin at 1:00pm on Church Avenue at Harbourview Training Centre, and then travel up to Longworth Street, across to Chapel Avenue, turn left of Main Street, they will go down MacPhee Avenue past the Colville Manor and then turn back towards the Eastern Kings Sportsplex.
The relay will end at the Eastern Kings Sportsplex. There we have planned an exciting time for everyone to join. We will have food supplied by Evergreen Cafe, the Cavendish Farms French Fry Truck will be on site, we have also planned some entertainment provided by Fiddlers Sons.
We Invite EVERYONE to come out to cheer on our torch bearers along the route. (If you have a specific bearer you’d like to cheer on, give us a call at Town Hall and we can tell you the specific section of the route they will be carrying the torch).
If you are a member of a sports team, wear your jersey!! Make up signs! Carry your PEI Flag!! Bring your noise makers!!
