STATUTORY PUBLIC MEETING – OFFICIAL PLAN AND BYLAW REVIEW

The Town has undertaken a review of the Official Plan and Bylaw pursuant to section 15.1 of the Planning Act and intends to adopt a new Official Plan and Land Use Bylaw. Significant changes from the current documents include: updates to land use policies; updates to administration processes; revisions to general regulations, zones, and permitted uses, and clarifications for shared housing, solar, accessory dwellings and structures, mini-homes, and home-based businesses. The Future Land Use and Zoning maps will be replaced by new maps to reflect the new policies.
Residents and interested parties are invited to attend this final public meeting and to make representations regarding the proposed Official Plan and Land Use Bylaw.
Copies of the draft documents will be available from November 1, 2023, onward at the Town Office during office hours and on the municipal website at sourispei.com. For any questions, contact the Town office at 902-687-2157. Written comments will be accepted until November 23, 2023.
