NOTICE OF NOMINATION PROCEEDINGS
PURSUANT TO THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT
MUNICIPAL ELLECTION NOTICE
Public notice is hereby given to the electors of the Town of Souris that a Municipal Election will be held on November 7, 2022 to elect a mayor and six (6) councillors for the Town of Souris for the four (4) year term of office ending on November, 2026.
The nomination period for the Mayor and six (6) Councillor positions commences at 9:00am on October 12, 2022 and closes at 2:00 p.m. on October 21, 2022.
Nominations shall only be received during office hours at the election office, located at 75 Main Street, Souris (Town Hall). A candidate must file their completed nomination paper in person at the election office with the Municipal Electoral Officer or Deputy Municipal Electoral Officer.
The election office hours shall be Monday – Friday 9am – 4pm (2pm on Oct 21st)
